For those who are new to Nia, it is a fusion fitness movement technique based on martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Routines are practiced to soul stirring music and are suitable for all ages and abilities. Most of all Nia is FUN!
Mary-Claire has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and Nia for 5 years as a blue belt instructor.

I first discovered Nia whilst visiting my sister in Cape Town and, like most people, was immediately hooked. On my return to the U.K I searched the internet for local classes and came accross Tracey Fenner who was a recently qualified White Belt starting classes in Shrewsbury. I joined the class and after one year took White Belt myself with Helen Terry, knowing I wanted to deepen my experience of Nia.
I continued to work with Tracey, who has now relocated to Hong Kong and therefore given me the opportunity to step into her shoes and continue Nia classes in the Shrewsbury area. This inspired me to enhance my training by taking the Green Belt with Carlos Rosas in September, which was an unforgettable wonderful experience.
Having studied and taught Yoga for 15 years I am looking forward to developing these skills within the world of Nia.
