Excellent training and a wonderfully relaxing space.

I went to Casa Vida for a week in October 2019 to learn how to do mosaics. I don’t have much artistic ability but wanted to do something different from a normal holiday. I was so impressed! Firstly, the training is excellent and I made 3 successful mosaics and will now make more at home. What was an extra bonus was how refreshed I felt by the end of the week. My room had a really comfortable mattress with a choice of pillows and good, quiet air con. The meals were generous, really tasty and the whole style of the place is comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. I hadn’t realised just how much I needed that. A local therapist came in to give me a massage treatment during my stay and several other people came to have yoga and pilates sessions there. I used the pool a few times even though it was October. There is no pressure or rigid timetable and I happily worked away on my mosaics much longer than I realised – I was enjoying it so much. Viv & Dan are excellent hosts and it was a pleasure to stay at a home from home. I thoroughly recommend it go anyone who wants a different sort of holiday as well as anyone who wants some great training for a new skill.

Relaxing holiday

I have just spent a relaxing four days at Casa Vida with friends on a yoga holiday. It was extremely relaxing, having the feel of a welcoming home with excellent food and facilities. Our hosts, Dan and Viv were friendly but non obtrusive and were available if we had any queries. The accommodation was clean and homely, and the meals each day were so good that no-one in our group noticed that they were all vegetarian. For those that wanted to do so,there was the opportunity to do mosaics which was great fun, but there was also ample opportunity to relax around the pool and take advantage of the beautiful weather. It would not suit anyone wanting a lively holiday with bars/restaurants and night life as there is very little around the villa but is an ideal holiday for anyone wanting to escape from the stresses of life.

Wonderful yoga retreat

I had a wonderful 5 day yoga retreat at Tara Casa at the end of May. The accommodation was clean and homely and we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts Dan and Viv. As a vegetarian I was in heaven. Every meal was delicious, freshly prepared and plentiful. Tara Casa has a great pool that is surrounded by pretty vegetation and secluded from neighboring properties. Between yoga classes, meals and crafting ( optional!) we enjoyed quiet, restful afternoons in the Spanish sunshine, dipping into the pool to cool off. This was the perfect place to unwind. Thanks Dan and Viv!

Yoga break

As a yoga teacher taking my students away for my first yoga holiday and some of theirs this was everything I hoped it would be: On arrival Viv and Dan couldn’t have been more welcoming. The food was vegetarian, homemade and plentiful for the whole time with a light breakfast before class and a delicious brunch to follow. After evening class every dinner was taken outside by the pool. Dan is an excellent artist and 5 of the group, myself included, made mosaics during our free time. We had such a lot of laughs sitting together making these and my students were amazed at their efforts proudly packing them away to show everyone when they got home. This is a home, not a spa which is exactly what I envisaged and all the better for it. Very relaxing and the chance for everyone to stop, take a breath, look at the birds and garden and just be.

A great way to get back into a healthy life style at your own pace

I had a wonderful week with Viv and Dan at Tara Casa. I chose a yoga/pilates/fitness week. The schedule suited me really well (yoga/pilates in the morning, swimming and fitness during the day, pilates in the evening). We also had a personal fitness trainer for a couple of days who showed us some easy but effective exercises that we could easily do at home (and which I have). The food, made by Dan, was delicious, plenty of it and all veggie. I can honestly say I felt a lot better after my week there and what’s more it kick started me into adopting a healthier life style once I got home. I’m still doing pilates and swimming regulary and it’s 5 months since I was there. There’s a very relaxed atmosphere and you are left to your own devices during the day, leaving you feeling very much at home. So, a big thanks to you both for helping me to see what I was capable of (a lot more than I thought!)

Golf & Pilates – the perfect combination

Viv and Dan are the fabulous hosts for this unique home stay in an idealic setting. The combination of a bespoke Pilates workout with Viv followed by golf on amazing local courses was perfect. An added highlight was the opportunity to design and create a mosaic, under the guidance of Dan a local Mosaic Artist. Travelling solo it was also a great opportunity to make some lovely new friends. Looking forward to my next visit.
